Bronze Memorial Plaques
Giving Honor with a Bronze Memorial
Giving honor and respect is one of the most humbling and rewarding gestures we as human beings do. By honoring a person, a pet, or even a place we are remembering that we are a part of a larger picture and that we are constantly influenced and impacted by what is around us. We are also offering gratitude and recognizing the good that is afforded us by the presence of the recipient in our lives. A visible and powerful way of bestowing honor is by placing a bronze memorial. When a memorial is seen it conveys the emotions of those that placed it, and inspires those that read it. At Aura Bronze Plaques we create custom memorials from small individual pieces to commemorate a beloved family pet, to large memorials to groups of people.
Why a Bronze Memorial?
Bronze is a popular choice for all types of plaques, but particularly for memorials because of the sense of tradition, elegance, and strength that it offers. Use of bronze for plaques has continued for hundreds of years and by perpetuating this use we are following in a common thread of dedication and honor. A bronze memorial from Aura Bronze Plaques is a tasteful and steadfast way to display names, achievements, events, or simply powerful artwork that will strike a chord in the people who view it. It is a way to proudly display the impact that a particular influence had in the lives of others, and is set in place to inform and encourage others as the memorial persists.
Design Options
Though many traditional bronze memorials are rectangular, it is possible to make them in many other shapes. We will work with you to decide the exact look of your memorial piece so that when it is put in place it will exactly fit with your vision. When planning your memorial you will need to decide not only the shape, but the style of text that will be on the plaque. We offer both cast metal and etched text, and the effect is subtlely different. If you are unsure of what these methods look like, or which you think would be most appropriate for your particular memorial plaque, browse through the product page as well as the recent project pictures on our site then feel free to call us so that we can walk you through design options for the memorial. We can take your idea and develop a memorial ideal for your needs.
Most often memorial plaques feature only two colors and simple, if any, artwork. But that does not mean that these are the only options. Each memorial is meant to express something and if that means that you want colors, or a more complex visual representation, we will do our best to create something for you that will fulfill your desires. We can give you suggestions and work closely with you to achieve something with that extra something.
Crafting the Bronze Memorial
Depending on the size and style of your bronze memorial, the plaque could be crafted in different ways. Many memorials can be done in one piece. Large memorials can also be created in segments and then installed in such a way that the parts piece smoothly together. If you intend for names, dates, or other information to be added to the memorial over time we can create a large master background plaque and smaller plaques with the desired information so that the memorial can be augmented with these and other small plaques whenever necessary.

In addition to its other uses, bronze is often the metal of choice to commemorate, honor and dedicate donors, loved ones, pets, buildings, wings, departments and significant events. From small plaques to large, these plaques are often rectangular, but can be cast or cut in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. We have even curved them to fit a prescribed curvature of a wall or pole.
Total colors used in a plaque are often just two, but we have done state seals with as many as 21 hand painted colors.
Larger plaques can be achieved in sections, then mechanically fastened or welded on site.
Background master plaques can be cast, with provision for add-on smaller name plates for new entries.
